Checa to stay in WSB with Althea Ducati

1 Mins read

Carlos Checa will be staying in World Superbikes after talks with Ducati resulted in him being offered a ride to stay in the series rather than a move to MotoGP.

The Spaniard will be riding for the Althea team in 2010 after being dropped by Ten Kate Honda earlier this month.

Checa said: “I am very contented to stay in WSB and I am motivated by the chance to ride a Ducati. We have all the guarantees from the factory and I have a good relationship with them.

“I will have the very latest machinery which will be on the same level as the factory pilots.”

2010 will mark Checa’s third season in World Superbikes after joining the Ten Kate squad in 2008.
