Cronin leads BRC assault on final IRC round of 2009

A third of the upcoming IRC 2009 MSA British Rally Championship will be made up of British Rally Championship drivers, including three past and present champions.

The challenge of the final round of the Intercontinental Rally Challenge will be taken on by 2007/2008 champion Guy Wilks along with the newly crowned champion Keith Cronin. Joining the two British champions will be Pirelli Star Driver Adam Gould, with all three drivers using different cars to what they have been.

Scottish Rally Champion David Bogie will use his own car at his home event along with Jonny Greer who will be travelling from Ireland to compete.

Fresh from his win on a national forest event Dave Weston will join the event after securing fourth place in the British Rally Championship. Alastair Fisher who took two BRC podiums this year on the way to an overall third will aslo be taking part.

1995 BRC champion Alister McRae will also be competing after recently completing on Rally China last weekend.

Other drivers include Euan Thorburn, Icelandic Champion Daniel Sigurðarson, quadruple Fiesta Champion Craig Breen, Kris Hall and Barry Greer.
