The Citroen-Total Kenneth Hansen Motorsport Team unveiled it’s new signing in the shape of young Brit Liam Doran, who will be taking part in the 2010 FIA European Rallycross Championship season.
After watching Doran develop over the year in his first season in the European Championship team boss Kenneth Hansen made the move to sign the British driver for it’s 2010 championship assault.
Doran Jr commented “I am thrilled to be given the opportunity to drive with such a successful team. Rallycross is my life and this is a dream come true for me. With Kenneth’s experience and the professionalism of the team I hope that I can help Citroen achieve podium positions in next years championship”
Despite only one year experience in the European championship Hansen is confident that Doran will succeed in the series and bring glory to the team.
Kenneth Hansen says “Our team is happy to have such a devoted and promising driver along with us. Liam has a good understanding of the sport. I am sure he will do a great job both as a driver and to give valuable feedback to make us give him the best car possible.”
Doran is no stranger to Rallycross having been introduced to it at the tender age of 14, competing in the MSA British Rallycross Championship for the first time before making his way up the ladder in four years from Minis to Supercars.
The FIA ERC will consist of 10 rounds visiting the best Rallycross circuits in the world.
