Motorbase Performance has been left with the task of finding a new commercial partner for 2010 after the announcement that Airwaves would not be backing the team next year.
The deal with Wrigley’s saw David Bartrum’s team run under the Airwaves Motorbase banner for 2010, enjoying sucess at Brands Hatch and Donington.
Going in to 2010 Wrigleys are re-evaluating their marketing efforts, choosing to put it’s money elsewhere other than motor sport, also leaving GSE Racing team the same task in the British Superbike Championship, despite dominating the season with Leon Camier.
“The association with Airwaves has been a huge success for both sides of the arrangement,” Motorbase boss David Bartrum of said. “Airwaves was a brilliant partner for our second season in the BTCC and their support helped lift the awareness of the team to a new level. We are also very proud of the job we did for them and I would like to thank everyone involved at Airwaves for being such a first class partner.
“We’ve got a great deal to offer to our [prospective new] partners. We are very focused and have a first-class team of people. As well as the BTCC campaign, we will have a major presence in the Porsche Carrera Cup GB.”
