Sebastien Buemi completed 107 laps as Scuderia Toro Rosso continued early testing of their new STR5 chassis at Valencia's Circuit de la Comunitat Valenciana.
The full day was a marked contrast to yesterday's running after the team managed to fix the gearbox problem that limited the Swiss to only 18 laps on Monday.
“The car felt good today and I'm happy to have completed many more laps compared to yesterday,” said Buemi. “We still had some minor issues, but we were able to fix these. By the end of the day we have collected a lot of data to analyse, which will help us to get a better understanding of the new car.”
“A comparison with the old car is difficult because of the different fuel loads and tyres that apply this year,” he added explaining one of the many problems facing the teams this year.
Buemi's fastest lap was 1m13.832, just over two seconds behind the fastest of the day, once more set by Felipe Massa in the Ferrari F10.
Buemi will step out of the cockpit tomorrow as Jaime Alguersuari closes out the three day test for the team.
