Red Bull use both drivers on final day in Barcelona

1 Mins read

Both Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber were in the car for Red Bull today as the team brought their pre-season testing to a close in Barcelona.

Vettel had less time on the track than expected yesterday, and began the testing this morning, while Webber completed the pre-season preparations this afternoon. Both drivers completed similar programmes, Vettel completing 76 laps, and Webber completing 61.

Head of Race Engineering Ian Morgan was pleased with the amount of running the team could make up today, and with the Barcelona test overall. “Losing a bit of time yesterday we didn’t do everything we wanted to with Seb so we got pretty much a day and half’s testing into today – which is why we’ve done 137 laps. It’s been busy but we’ve got a lot done.

“This final test was good for us. With our limited testing in the dry at the two Jerez tests, the four days of almost completely dry weather here meant that we got back on course and we’ve made a lot of progress this week. It’s been a very good test.”

The next time the two drivers will be in the RB6 is in first practice in Bahrain on 12th March.
