WTCC 2010 Team-by-team: ÄŒolak Racing Team – Seat Leon 2.0 TFSi

1 Mins read

#22 – Marin ÄŒolak

Another driver returning for a full year after a part campaign in 2009 is young Croatian driver Marin ÄŒolak, who graduated into the WTCC after finishing second in the 2008 Seat Eurocup, where he took a brace of victories.

ÄŒolak's 2009 WTCC Campaign saw him record a best Independent finish of fourth in class, and best overall finish of twelfth, although the best qualifying result saw ÄŒolak start second at Oschersleben following a wet qualifying session. Unfortunately the qualifying result didn't match the race result, as he dropped from class pole to finish fourth in race 1, before a DNF in what was to be his final race of the season.

ÄŒolak is the only Seat racer who didn't get a TDi, and the team could come to regret that.

Season Prediction: Looking to better the best finish from last year, taking an Independent top 3 finish, plus learning and trying to impress the top bosses.

TCF Driver Prediction:

  • ÄŒolak: May not score overall, but will be looking to finish in the Independent Top 10. Independent top 3 race finish will be the aim.
