# 88 Phil Glew – #888 TBA

Triple Eight Race Engineering have entered two Vauxhall Vectra's for reigning Elf Renault Clio Cup Champion Phil Glew and another driver yet to be announced.

Triple Eight are one of the most successful teams in BTCC history, having won 20 titles since their debut in the series in 1997, which includes 6 drivers Championships, 6 teams Championships and 8 Manufacturer titles.

Add in 105 race wins since 1997 and the team are extremely successful, and with the self developed Vectra, Triple Eight have an extremely proven package.

Glew won the 2009 Renault Clio Cup title with 11 wins and 18 podiums in 20 races, is delighted to have secured his move into the BTCC.

With a team mate is yet to be announced rumours are suggesting that maybe  reigning Formula Renault UK Champion Dean Smith could be a candidate having recently tested.

Season Prediction:

2010 will be an interesting campaign for Triple Eight as an independent entry. With two proven cars at its disposal, they shouldn't have a problem in securing race wins once Glew and team mate are up to speed.

TCF Driver Prediction:

Glew: 10th. Will come out on top of the Clio Cup graduates, experience will count as well. Should take podiums and the occasional race win.
