French GP3 outfit ART Grand Prix have continued their dominance of the series after today's thirty minute qualifying session around the 3D configuration of the Paul Ricard circuit in France.
Twenty-six cars took the start of the thirty minute session which was used to decide the race numbers of the teams ahead of the maiden season of GP3 action.
At the conclusion of the Thirty minute session ART Grand Prix with their young American driver Alexander Rossi finished top of the times with team mate Esteban Gutierrez setting the second fastest time of the session. The two of them finishing one and two secured the car numbers 1, 2, 3 for ART.
4, 5, 6 went to Status GP, the Silverstone based outfit who had their flying Canadian, Robert Wickens to thank for securing them third fastest time in qualifying.
7, 8, 9 went to the Virgin Racing Formula 1 driver development team, Dinnington based Manor Racing, after their Leeds born star James Jakes set the fourth best time during the session.
RSC Mucke Motorsport will carry numbers 10, 11, 12 in the Championship. The team, which sees a collaboration between German racing outfit Mucke Motorsport and former Formula One race winner Ralf Schumacher, run three cars for Tobias Hegewald, Nigel Melker and the fifth fastest driver in the session – Renger Van Der Zande.

The car numbers will be is use as from the 13 April, when the GP3 teams will next test together at Barcelona, ahead of the season opener on the 8 and 9 May, alongside the FIA Formula One World Championship.
