Rossi To Replace Gene At SR-Sport For Okayama

1 Mins read

Michael Rossi will make his first appearance in the World Touring Car Championship next weekend, when he races a SEAT Leon TDi at Okayama in Japan.

The 22-year-old Frenchman will replace Jordi Gene in the SR-Sport entered car. The same car will then be raced by Andre Couto at the season finale in Macau. Rossi won the Renault Megane Trophy Eurocup in 2008, and was the runner-up in the SEAT Leon Eurocup this year. He has already got experience of the SEAT Leon S2000, having driven it at the first two rounds of this year's European Touring Car Cup.

Gene had previously stated that he was struggling to find the budget required to take part in the final rounds of the 2010 season.
