Swiss drivers Simon Trummer and Nico Muller set the fastest times on the second day of the GP3 Series test at Jerez in Spain.
16-year-old Carlos Sainz Jr made his first appearance in a GP3 car, driving for Addax Team. Many other drivers changed teams from the first day, while other drivers were returning to the GP3 paddock.
Trummer topped the morning session for MW Arden, continuing the team's post-season form after Antonio Felix da Costa had starred on day one. Fellow series regulars Nigel Melker and Muller were second and third for their teams Mucke Motorsport and Jenzer Motorsport.
It was another Arden driver and series regular, Michael Christensen, who set the early pace in the afternoon. However, he was knocked off top spot by Muller in the final few minutes of the session. Christensen held onto second, with Melker in third and Trummer fourth.
