Work begun on the road in 2008 and it was opened to the public on January 18th. An official opening ceremony is planned for February 4th, attended by the Premier of the Burgundy region, the head of the Nièvre district, the President of the General Council of Nièvre and various other local personalities.

The opening event will include a parade organised by the circuit, which will include a Formula 1 car, classic machines from the Nevers ANAVA association, a superbike and an electric car.
