Adderly Fong Makes British Formula Three Comeback

1 Mins read

20-year-old Adderly Fong is set to return to the British Formula 3 Championship for the fourth time in his career.

Reuniting with the Sino Vision team, Chinese-born Fong hopes to improve on 16th place in the team's British F3 debut season in 2010. Experience in German Formula 3 and A1GP also means the young driver will be expected to lead the 2-car outfit into the new season.

“I’m glad to be back with SVR, as we had some very promising results,” Fong said. “I have high hopes for the coming season and I hope for some positive showings.” Fong’s 2010 season peaked at the final round of the year in Brands Hatch, netting himself an impressive 4th place on the rain-soaked track.

Team boss Chris Churchill also had faith in Fong’s potential to succeed in 2011, and also hopes to confirm Fong’s team-mate very soon. “We are hopeful we will be able to announce something within a matter of days, then we will look forward to getting back into testing with Adderly and turning the positive momentum into results.”

He added, “the Brands Hatch showing was the icing on the cake for us in what was a challenging rookie season in the UK and it showcased Adderly’s skills in the wet.”
