Triple Eight Choose NGTC Power

1 Mins read

Triple Eight Race Engineering are to use the NGTC engine in their two BTCC Vauxhall Vectra's this season, the team has confirmed. The turbo-charged engines will be prepared by Swindon Racing.

Ian Harrison's team had previously revealed they would field a pair of cars for James Nash and Tony Gilham, but the precise details of the package they will drive were only made final today (March 7).

“The Vectra won a few races last season including the first and the last and it remains a competitive proposition,” contends Harrison. “Nevertheless,we've got a few tweaks up our sleeve to try. Add to that the switch to the NGTC engine which Swindon have been working hard on over the winter and which now boasts more power, you'll understand why I've got high hopes that James and Tony will be competing at the sharp end in 2011”.

The BTCC season begins on April 3 at Brands Hatch, Kent, with the first of ten race weekends.
