It is with sadness that The Checkered Flag heard the news today of the sudden and untimely passing of Graham Pearce, team director of Total Control Racing.

Graham passed away on Sunday 8th May after a short battle with cancer, leaving wife Theresa and children Ainee and Gordon.

Graham has worked with TCR for the past thirteen years and has become a pivotal member of the team, helping towards their success in the Renault Clio Cup, SEAT Cupra Championship and Ginetta GT Supercup over recent years.

TCR Team Principal Lee Brookes said: “We’re all shocked and deeply saddened by Graham’s passing, he was a true gentleman and a hugely important part of TCR. He was very well known throughout the paddock, always offering a smile and a great sense of humour.

“It’s easy to say at a time like this how wonderful someone was but the fact is Graham was an incredible person and a fantastic friend to everyone at TCR. He was a thoroughly charming man.

“All our thoughts and prayers are with Graham’s family at this heart-breaking and deeply distressing time. Our heartfelt condolences go out to them all – Graham will be very sadly missed by everyone associated with TCR.”
