Michelisz Aiming For Strong Results At Home

1 Mins read

Norbert Michelisz races on home soil in the World Touring Car Championship for the first time this weekend as the series makes its first trip to the Hungaroring.

Having narrowly missed out on his maiden podium finish in the BMW 320 TC last time out at Monza, the Zengo Dension driver is hoping to turn home advantage into a strong result in front of his fans.

“I would like to extract the most out of myself in front of my home crowd but so far my impression has been that Chevrolet are driving in another world and they also have three excellent drivers,” said Michelisz. “It will be a good result to be in the top five but my secret aim is to get onto the podium in one of the races.

“I think that my slight advantage in terms of track knowledge will disappear by the qualifying but I hope that the experience and the presence of the Hungarian fans will be huge addition on my side.”
