De Zille Continues Belgian EuroCup Battle

1 Mins read

Dunlop MSA Formula Ford Championship of Great Britain driver Dan de Zille continued his attack on the Formula Ford EuroCup when he headed to Zolder for the second Belgium meeting in a month.

The meeting, which also counted for the Dutch Formula Ford Championship, saw 25 cars on the grid at the former Grand Prix venue. Dan was at a disadvantage for the weekend as he was unable to test at the circuit beforehand, meaning he qualified fifteenth on the grid for the race and had a lot of work to do, on a circuit notorious as being difficult to pass on,.

The Jersey based driver was to suffer problems in both races though, finishing well down the order in both, twelfth in race one and fifteenth in race two. It was only after the second race that the team found a brake balance problem, which was likely to have been affecting his performance.

The O19 Racewear backed driver still lies sixth in the overall driver championship standings and is looking ahead to the fourth and final EuroCup event which supports the Zandvoort F3 Masters event in Holland.
