Murray Celebrating His Second Place At Oulton Park

Ginetta Junior racer Niall Murray has been selected as the Dunlop Young Racing Driver of the Month for June as a reward for his superb performances in the series during the month, which including a great run to second place at Oulton Park.

The result at Oulton was the reigning Ginetta Junior Ireland champion's second podium of the season and he followed this up with a fourth place finish at Croft last time out, his first visit to the North Yorkshire circuit.

Niall, who runs with the Beacon Racing team, is now a contender for the prestigious Dunlop Motorsport Ireland Young Racing Driver of the Year Award, which is presented annually by Dunlop, the Irish Sports Council and Motorsport Ireland, the prize fund for which is €50,000.

The 16 year old commented: “It's absolutely fantastic to be nominated again this year for this amazing award which my brother Eoin has previously won twice. I would love to emulate him and win it this year. We've been having a good season so far and I definitely feel a win is not too far away. I've got to say a massive thank you to all my sponsors and family who have helped me this year.”
