Mirko Bortolotti remains the class of the FIA Formula Two Championship field as he set the pace in second practice at the Red Bull Ring.
The championship leader, who was fastest in the morning session, set a time more than half a second quicker than anyone else.
On a scorching day in Austria, with temperatures reaching 35 degrees, Kelvin Snoeks was the early pacesetter. Bortolotti soon led the way, before Korean Sunghak Mun produced a stunning time that saw him top the times momentarily.
Bortolotti ended up on top, 0.534s clear of Mihai Marinescu. Benjamin Lariche was again quick, this time setting the third best time. Ramon Pineiro was fourth with Tobias Hegewald fifth and Mun a career-best sixth.
Alex Brundle, Christopher Zanella, Snoeks and Miki Monras completed the top ten, with debutants Luciano Bacheta and Rene Binder in 14th and 20th respectively. Several drivers saw their best times deleted for exceeding track limits.
