Formula Renault 2.0 Eurocup regular Will Stevens will be making a return to the Formula Renault UK series this weekend at Snetterton, with the former championship challenger hoping to add more victories to his UK tally.
The 20 year old has been performing well in the Eurocup this season, taking one win and three podium finishes to sit fourth in the championship standings. Making the most of the break in the Eurocup calendar, Stevens returns to Snetterton, where he finished second and fourth in 2010. The BRDC Rising Star will compete against the UK runners once again, like he did at the opening rounds at Brands Hatch, in preparation for the British rounds of Eurocup next month at Silverstone.
Fortec Motorsport driver Stevens said: “We're going to Snetterton with only one aim, and that's to win. We've had a good start to the Eurocup season, but now find ourselves with a big gap in the calendar before the Silverstone races.
“We've learnt a lot from our time in Europe and racing at Snetterton will give us the chance to put that knowledge to good use, and go over a few things before we head to Silverstone. With the break in Eurocup, it's important to keep sharp, and where better to do that than at Snetterton, where I have a good record of results.
“The competition in Europe is particularly close this season, with 35 cars all competing for victory, but that's not to say that the competition will be easy at Snetterton. There are some quick drivers out there, many of whom I've raced against before, but I will treat it like any other race weekend and aim to be right on the pace come qualifying.”
