The #1 Audi e-tron continues to lead the 2012 24 Hours of Le Mans after a faultless start to the race, although both Toyotas now fill the remaining podium places.

Andre Lotterer has handed over to Benoit Treluyer in the leading car, while Tom Kristensen took over from Allan McNish in #2 Audi that was running in second. It didn't see the hour out in that position though, going a lap down after being pushed into the garage. Audi cited that there was rubber stuck in the suspension.

Nicolas Lapierre heads teammate Sebastien Buemi in second and third in the two Toyotas. Loic Duval moved ahead of them as the #3 Audi ultra continued to go longer between stops, but surrendered that when he handed over to Romain Dumas.

Kristensen sits fifth ahead of fourth and final Audi, now driven by Marco Bonanomi on his Le Mans debut.

Olivier Pla has remained behind the wheel of the #24 Oak Racing car in the lead of LMP2.

The big story of the hour was the three-way battle for the lead of GTE Pro. Tommy Milner in the #74 Corvette and Darren Turner in the #97 Aston Martin traded places numerous times for second place, which became first when the #51 Ferrari made a pitstop.

Turner ran wide at Arnage, letting both Milner and Gianmaria Bruni through before diluting the battle by diving into pitlane. Bruni held the lead at the end of the third hour, the Ferrari having only stopped twice so far.

Spencer Pumpelly has a healthy advantage in his Flying Lizards Porsche in GTE Am.
