William Buller finished GP3's mid-season test at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo with the fastest time after leading the way on day two.
The Northern Irishman, who finished the most recent race at Monaco upside down against the Ste Devote barrier, set the pace in the opening session. He was 0.092 seconds ahead of Nico Muller, who has returned to the series this week to test Trident Racing's vacant third car.
Mitch Evans was third fastest for MW Arden, ahead of Buller's Carlin teammate Antonio Felix Da Costa and Tio Ellinas of Marussia Manor Racing.
Patric Niederhauser was sixth, ahead of points leader Aaro Vainio. Kevin Ceccon, Daniel Abt and Marlon Stockinger completed the top ten.
Buller was nearly the pacesetter again in the afternoon, but was edged out for P1 by Evans by just 0.001s. Evans' time was exactly a second slower than the one he had recorded in the morning.
Monaco winner Stockinger wasn't far off either, falling 0.023s shy. Ellinas and Niederhauser were next, ahead of Irishman Gary Thompson who was making his GP3 debut alongside Niderhauser at Jenzer Motorsport in place of Robert Visoiu, who was taking an exam.
David Fumanelli was seventh ahead of fellow Italian Ceccon, with Tamas Pal Kiss ninth and Felix Da Costa tenth.
The teams and drivers are back in action next weekend, 30 km away at the Valencia Street Circuit as part of the European Grand Prix weekend.
