What a brilliant British Grand Prix, it looked set that Fernando Alonso would walk to the win but Red Bull Racing proved why they are champions at the end of the day.

Unsung hero of the race has to be Felipe Massa who drove a brilliant race to secure fourth place, a faultless drive by the Brazilian as he finishes just 6.5 seconds behind team-mate Fernando Alonso

Mark Webber takes the lead to the cheering crowd, Fernando Alonso will now be pushing hard to regain the lead in the closing laps.
Looks like Michael Schumacher got those earlier DRS problems fixed as he breezes by Lewis Hamilton on the Wellington straight

Felipe Massa lights up the timing screens briefly as Kimi Raikkonen out performs followed by Romain Grosjean setting the pace once again. The Frenchman is now just 3.3 seconds behind his team-mate
One of the Sauber mechanics are being taken to be checked out after Kobayashi‘s disastrous pitstop, early reports suggest no series injuries.
On lap 40 Fernando Alonso leads by 3.9 seconds over Mark Webber with Red Bull team-mate Sebastian Vettel in third.
Romain Grosjean is the man on a mission as he sets another fastest lap, nearly half a second that team-mate Kimi Raikkonen who he is chasing down.

Lewis Hamilton moves up to eleventh place, Romain Grosjean follows the Brit through as Nico Rosberg loses two places in as many corners.

Lewis Hamilton pits again for a short run on the soft tyres, back out on the hard tyres again, resumes on track behind Nico Rosberg.

Kimi Raikkonen sets the fastest lap as he hunts down Felipe Massa
Kimi Raikkonen moves up to fifth place as he passes Michael Schumacher, now Lewis Hamilton will be looking to make the same move up and takes the place in to Copse.
Lewis Hamilton is now on the rear of Kimi Raikkonen who is chasing down the Mercedes of Michael Schumacher. Meanwhile Sergio Perez is placing firm blame on Pastor Maldonado for the incident that took him out of the race.
Hamilton now pits, a good stop by the team as he rejoins in seventh place just behind Kimi Raikkonen.
The McLaren team are waiting for Lewis Hamilton to pit as the Brit heads around for another lap. Hamilton tells the pits “My tyres don’t feel bad at the moment.”
Top 10 on lap 20: ALO, HAM, WEB, VET, MAS, MSC, RAI, GRO, KOB, HUL
20 laps in and Lewis Hamilton remains out on track, him and Pedro de la Rosa are the only cars yet to pit.
Kamui Kobayashi is on a charge as he goes fastest in the second sector, he’s chasing the Lotus of Romain Grosjean in eighth place.
Fernando Alonso and Lewis Hamilton are putting on a great show in front of the British fans, the Spaniard has made it around Hamilton.
McLaren team to Lewis Hamilton: “Time to push. Don’t worry about ALO behind, you’re still gapping the cars we need to gap. This is great stuff, every tenth counts.”
Lewis Hamilton leads the race but is still to pit, Jenson Button and Nico Rosberg battle over fourteenth place.

Race control reports that DRS has been disabled for all drivers
Sergio Perez and Pastor Maldonado have made contact and spun off together, it looks like the Mexican is out of the race, Maldonado continue to limp back to the pits

Felipe Massa will have to be careful as he looks to get around the Mercedes of Michael Schumacher with World Champion Sebastian Vettel hot on his heels waiting to pick up the pieces.
Romain Grosjean sets another fastest lap as he moves up to 19th place, Timo Glock is his next target.
The DRS-less Michael Schumacher is backing up the field, Felipe Massa is desperate to get by his former Ferrari team-mate.

Romain Grosjean who is down in 22nd has just set the fastest lap as he looks to move back through the field after earlier problems.
Paul Di Resta is out of the grand prix after earlier contact resulting in damage to the car and a puncture.

Grosjean, Button and Kobayashi battle hard as Raikkonen and Maldonado fight over sixth.
Jenson Button is on the move already and is up to twelfth place on the first lap challenging Romain Grosjean for eleventh.
Paul Di Resta has had drama already as his spins out with a puncture, the Scot is now limping back to the pits for new tyres.

The cars pull away from the grid to start their formation lap, the start of the race is now minutes away.

McLaren team to Lewis Hamilton: “The latest weather forecast is that there’s no rain for 30 minutes. There are showers around, but not over the circuit at the moment.”
Vitaly Petrov is out of the race already. Caterham confirm the news after his engine failed.
Initial forecasts suggest that the first part of the race will remain dry but there is a chance of rain towards the middle of the race.
Just five minutes to go until the start of the race, the drivers are climbing in to their cars.
This is how the drivers line up for today’s race with Fernando Alonso leading the way. British fans will be hoping for a charge from Lewis Hamilton from the fourth row and Jenson Button back on the eighth row.
