Files Looking For Strong Home Performance At Snetterton

1 Mins read

AirAsia Clio Cup title protagonist Josh Files is hoping for a strong weekend at his home circuit of Snetterton this weekend, as he aims to catch the championship leaders, Paul Rivett and Jack Goff.

Files enjoyed a second and fifth place finish at Oulton Park in the two races to close the gap on Rivett to just fourteen points.

Whilst team mate Goff holds a sixty-three point advantage over Files, the Norfolk based racer is hopeful that he’ll be able to secure some strong results on home ground.

“I’m feeling very confident ahead of the weekend,” explained Files. “I’m really looking forward to racing on my home venue and can’t wait for all of the action to re-commence.”

“Now that we’re half way into the season, I need to think about getting as many points as possible for the championship, so I definitely think that I have it in me to go out there and get two poles, two wins and two fastest laps under my belt.”

“This time last year I had a very good run that earned me my breakthrough podium here at Snetterton 300, I’m hoping for the same again this year, but this time I’ll be on the top step of the podium.”
