Protyre Formula Renault BARC Championship racer Laura Tillett welcomed an inspirational group of race fans from Clic Sargent to Donington Park recently.
As part of her support for the work done by Clic Sargent, the UK’s leading cancer charity for children and young people, Tillett invite some youngsters and their families to the Leicestershire circuit to watch the racing and enjoy some paddock hospitality.
Cheering Laura on were 15-year-old Alex Brown and 22-year-old Dani Jackson from Nottingham, 21-year-old Emma Parker from Mansfield, 18-year-old Chloe Hunt from Northampton and 17-year-old Nathan Roberts from Newark.
They had the opportunity to tour the Fortec Motorsports garage, take a close-up look at Laura’s FR 2.0 race car and watch her in action in two of the BARC races, with the first seeing Laura storm through from 23rd on the grid to 17th.
“It was really nice to see everyone enjoying the sport and they all seemed really interested in all of it which was great”, said Laura, “It’s fantastic to have been able to do something for CLIC Sargent, it gave me a good insight into the work the charity does which is so important – the kids were all really lovely too!”
