The Barwa Addax Team have ditched Josef Kral after his maiden GP2 victory at Spa-Francorchamps last weekend, and replaced him with Jake Rosenzweig for this weekend’s races at Monza.
Czech driver Kral had failed to score any points all season before his drive to fourth in the feature race at Belgium. He then followed that up with a superb start to the sprint race that gave him the lead before La Source and drove to a convincing win. Earlier in the year the team dropped him for the two race weekends in Bahrain, replacing him with Dani Clos.
London-born American Rosenzweig drove for Addax in the non-championship race at Abu Dhabi last year, and previously contested the second half of the 2009-10 Asia Series for Super Nova as teammate to Kral. He is currently in his third season of Formula Renault 3.5 and lies down in 20th in the points after finishing 19th and 18th in his previous two campaigns.
Addax is the third team to announce a driver change for this weekend. Stefano Coletti switches from Coloni to Rapax, replacing Daniel De Jong, while Luca Filippi returns to the series in his place.
