Dixon And TCR End Clio Season On Podium

1 Mins read

James Dixon capped off a strong second half of the season with a fifth podium of the season at Brands Hatch, consolidating third in the championship with TCR.

A strong run to seventh in the opening race was followed by a superb drive through from seventh on the grid into the top three, with his third place finish making it five podiums in the last eight races for the Kent-based racer.

Dixon’s team-mate had a tough ending to the season. Nic Hamilton claimed a thirteenth place finish in race one, before fighting back from early contact to finish sixteenth in race two, while Rob Smith took eighteenth and seventeenth place finishes.

“We’re really happy to end the Clio season up on the podium with James”, said team principal Lee Brookes, “To come away with third in the championship, after only having him back with us a few rounds after the season had started, proves the point. He beat the two guys ahead of him in the championship as well this weekend so that’s great as well.”
