Alex Gurney and Jon Fogarty will return as full season drivers for GAINSCO/Bob Stallings Racing in next season’s Grand-Am Rolex Series it has been confirmed.

Team owner Bob Stallings made the announcement at Daytona International Speedway on the first day of the two day test at Daytona International Speedway. Also confirmed were past Rolex 24 at Daytona winners Darren Law and Memo Gidley, who will complete the driving foursome in the #99 ‘Red Dragon’ for the 51st Rolex 24 (January 26-27).

“I think this is the main prize,” Gurney said of the Rolex 24. “It’s been a difficult race for us over the years. We’ve learned a lot. We’ve come in a few times gun blazing and run into trouble quite a bit. We put a lot of thought into it and learned over the years and hopefully we’re in a good place now. I think in order for the championship to turn out well, you have to finish this race. With this lineup I’m super excited about it. All these guys are fast and experienced and tend to stay out of trouble. I think we’ll be in good shape come January.”

“One of the things that was important to me coming to the 24, I was not going to get in a car that wasn’t competitive,” said Law, a Rolex winner with Brumos Racing in 2009 and twice a race winner with Action Express Racing in 2012. “Obviously this program I would say is one of the top teams, top-run cars in the series. I jumped at the chance.”

Gurney and Fogarty were winless in 2012, finishing eighth in the Daytona Prototype class points, though they did score a series high four pole positions from the 13 rounds of the championship.
