Ginetta Junior Winter Series Heading To Rockingham

1 Mins read

The annual Ginetta Junior Winter Series arrives at Rockingham this weekend, with a mixture of drivers new and old preparing to battle it out to win the ATL Fuel Cells-backed event.

The annual Ginetta Junior winter series arrives at Rockingham this weekend, as Junior drivers new and old take to Corby’s famous circuit in a bid to take home the Yorkshire marque’s final title of 2012.

Heading the entry are two race-winners from 2012, Andrew Watson and Oliver Chadwick, the duo heading into the event as the early title favourites with Douglas Motorsport and JHR Developments respectively.

Chadwick will be joined on track for the first time by his sister Jamie Chadwick, the newly crowned Ginetta Junior Scholarship 2013 winner making her debut in a Ginetta G40 with JHR.

Joining them will be two more 2012 podium finishers, with Harry Woodhead and Oliver Basey-Fisher running with HHC Motorsport and Douglas Motorsport respectively, and fellow series regulars Willliam Palmer (HHC Motosport) and Elliot Paterson (RPM Motorsport).

Joining them will be a number of new faces, including many of whom took part in the recent Ginetta Junior Scholarship event. Top four finalist there Jack Rawles join Tollbar Racing, while three other Scholarship alumni Martin Poole, James Kellet and Ryan Hadfield join a bumper five-car HHC Motorsport attack on the winter series.

Another of the scholarship participants Piers Hickin joins Hillspeed, while former Ginetta Junior Ireland racer Jack Finlay will make his debut in the big brother series.
