Aston Martin Racing will hold a private test for prospective customers to driver the Aston Martin Vantage GT3 at the Portuguese Portimao circuit on February 17-18.

The new GT3-spec car was introduced at the start of the 2012 season and went on to collect race wins and podiums in series including Japanese Super GT and Malaysian Super Series in Asia and International GT Open, ADAC GT Masters and British GT in Europe. The car has already scored its first podium of the 2013 season at January Dubai 24H.

AMR promise factory support to Vantage GT3 customers as well as a car optimised for both professional and amateur drivers – a major goal in the past year of developing the new car, the proof of which is seen in the 2012 results – many of which came in Pro/Am series.

The two day test will also host the works Aston Martin Racing squad, for whom the time in Portimao forms part of the testing build-up to the first race for the new look GTE Vantage at the 12 Hours of Sebring in March.
