Fabrizio Finishes As Fastest Aprilia Rider In Australia

1 Mins read

Michel Fabrizio and the Red Devils Roma team sprung a surprise at Phillip Island by finishing as the leading Aprilia runner in the pre-season test. Fabrizio was fourth quickest overall and is now looking forward to the opening round this weekend to exploit the RSV4’s potential.

“I am happy the way these two days of testing went. The thing that pleases me the most is our consistent performance and the bike, which I find very powerful. We still have to work on the choice of tyres which will be determined by the very different climatic conditions these days. We worked well both yesterday and today and we also know that anything can happen during the race, but we are ready and I am looking forward to getting back on track on Friday, in order to confirm the positive result of this tour.”

Team Manager Andrea Petricca is also looking towards the weekend with confidence and expects tyres to play a key role in determining the winners on Sunday.

“In conclusion of the official tests the outcome is undoubtedly positive. Today we worked on the bike setting in order to find the ideal situation for the race. Only at the end of the session we went back to the arrangement we used yesterday and in a few laps Michel clocked his best time during these two days, confirming him the fastest rider in Aprilia. We are also satisfied with the pace of our rider and we are preparing for the weekend, the choice of tyres will be important according to the climate that we will find.”
