Wells Becomes KCMG Ambassador

1 Mins read

British racing driver Dan Wells has been announced as an Official Ambassador for Asia’s largest race team KC Motorgroup.

Wells, who is currently based in Hong Kong, made his Asian racing debut in last year’s Formula Pilota series with KCMG, with the new arrangements strengthening the 21 year old’s ties with the team.

Wells is targeting a part-season in Japanese Formula 3 later this year, having missed out on raising the budget needed to do a full season.

“Although disappointed that despite my efforts in Hong Kong in the last twelve weeks where I have given my all to be on the grid for the first round in Suzuka, I view this as a slight setback on our road to the top and can see the positives in our plans. I look forward to working with KCMG closely to develop the relationships to help KCMG and our partners to achieve our goals”, said Wells.

Paul Ip, team owner of KCMG, added: “Dan is a fantastic individual who embodies raw talent, determination and hard work. I am as disappointed as him that we will not be on the grid together at Suzuka, but I’ve no doubt that we will achieve our ultimate goals and see Dan driving for KCMG later this year and beyond.”
