Having crossed the line at Snetterton to take what looked like a second victory of the Avon Tyres British GT Championship Phil Keen and Jon Minshaw have been given a 30 second penalty.

The offence – overtaking under yellow flags – dates from the opening laps of the 60 minute race when Minshaw passed Beechdean’s Andrew Howard on the pit straight under yellow flags for a turn one incident involving Mark Poole, Gregor Fisken and Richard Sykes.

The additional time drops the Trackspeed pairing to seventh and gives a first British GT win to 2012 champions Motorbase and drivers Michael Caine and Ahmad Al Harthy.

Caine was passed early in the second half of the race by Keen who also passed Warren Hughes, who was promoted to second with Rembert Berg in the M-Sport Audi. VonRyan Racing’s Gregoire Demoustier and Duncan Tappy now complete the podium.
