A three man factory backed team will try to extend Ginetta’s winning run in the MSA British Endurance Championship (BEC) this weekend at the series’ six hour race at Silverstone.

The Team LNT run Ginetta G55 GT3 will be driven by regular works driver Mike Simpson, company chairman Lawrence Tomlinson. The pairing, who have won the last three BEC races they have entered, will be joined by Century Motorsport team boss Nathan Freke for the race as a customer is given a rare opportunity to join the works squad.

Freke has plenty of experience behind the wheel of Ginetta cars, with wins in the Ginetta GT Supercup to his name. Co-driving a Ginetta G50 GT4 Danish woman racer Vibe Smed he finished this n the class in the Avon Tyres British GT Championship in 2010. He also won the GT4 class in the most recent British GT weekend at Zandvoort in Holland, sharing another G50 with Declan Jones.

“I’m thrilled to be racing at the Silverstone 1000km next weekend in the Team LNT Ginetta G55 GT3,” said Freke. “Lawrence and Mike have shown in previous events that they are a highly competitive driver pairing, so this will give us a fantastic chance of getting a top result. Having driven a slightly older specification G55 GT3 at the same circuit back in May, I’m confident that we can easily run at the front of the field in a fully up to date car with works support from Ginetta.”

Simpson and Tomlinson have run selected BEC with the G55 GT3 over recent seasons, winning the three hours races at Donington Park and Snetterton last year, adding victory – against some tough competition – in this season’s race on the Brands Hatch Grand Prix track in late July.

Team LNT also dominated the opening hours of last year’s Britcar 24 Hours with a Ginetta G55 GT3 before mechanical problems put them out of contention for the victory.

“We are looking to continue our unbroken string of MSA Britcar Endurance Championship wins, and with a longer race ahead, it was important for us to get the right driver in the car,” explains Simpson, who also drives for Team LNT in British GT. “With Nathan’s wealth of experience in Ginetta and proven track record, we were delighted to invite him to be a part of Team LNT.”
