Woodhead Crowned Provisional 2013 Champion

1 Mins read

Harry Woodhead has been provisionally crowned the 2013 Ginetta Junior Champion.

Following his second place finish in Round 15 yesterday, Woodhead heads  into Round 16 today with a 174 point lead in the championship.

Were the HHC Motorsport driver to retire from, or not race in, the remaining five rounds, and his closest challenger Keith Donegan win all five and collect all the bonus points available, the duo would end the campaign level on points. Woodhead would therefore be crowned champion due to his unassailable race win tally.

The only way Woodhead could lose the 2013 title now would be if he were to gain any penalty points in the remaining five races of the season.

Woodhead, who has finished on the podium in all fifteen races so far this season with eleven wins, can secure the championship outright with a strong performance in Round 16, which starts at 12:05.
