Having raced against each other on several occasions in the MSA British Endurance Championship (BEC) in recent seasons Javier Morcillo and Paul White will join Team LNT for the Ginetta factory team’s entry for January’s Dubai 24 Hour.

Morcillo and White will join Team LNT regulars Mike Simpson and Lawrence Tomlinson in driving the Ginetta G55 GT3 in the January 9-11 event.

“I am are delighted to welcome Javier and Paul to Team LNT for the Dubai 24 Hour,” said Ginetta chairman Tomlinson. “With the amount of combined endurance racing experience in the car, both myself and the team are hopeful of a prominent result with the G55 GT3 car.”

As part of the Strata 21/Neil Garner Motorsport team in the BEC Spaniard Morcillo and White have frequently come up against Team LNT, the Ginetta and a Morcillo driven Mosler sharing the front row for both the 2012 Britcar 24 Hours and the Silverstone 1000km race last September.

Morcillo is also a promoter of Ginetta in his native Spain, running a Ginetta G50 to numerous victories in Spanish GT series.

“I am over the moon to be able to join Team LNT for such a big race,” enthused Morcillo. “After working with Ginetta in Spain for five years and successfully running the EV Motorsport Ginetta G50 for so long, it feels great to now race with the ‘Big Brother’ team.”

“I have raced against the Ginetta G55 GT3 car a number of times in Britcar, and it will be fantastic to finally get to drive it. Having Lawrence, Mike and Paul as my teammates is a big responsibility, as they are all great champions, and I am happy they are going to be racing with me rather than against me!  I am sure we will make a very good team and we will give our best to bring the best possible result to the Ginetta factory team.”

“Dubai is a big challenge,” admitted White. “After having raced in Britcar, so many 24 Hr´s and some events in WEC, Dubai 24 looked like the right challenge for me. I am working on stepping on to bigger plans in my driving career, so racing with such a good car, team and teammates looked like a logical thing to do. It will be a big honour to represent England and Ginetta in such a big event.”
