5 – Jimmie Johnson’s ‘6 Pack’

While Formula 1 fans spend a good portion of their time arguing if Sebastien Vettel is annoying or brilliant, many NASCAR fans will say they feel the same about Jimmie Johnson. Although it was his first title since 2010, Johnson hasn’t finished outside the top 10 in points standings since 2001 – when he only started 3 races. After 435 starts Johnson has an average finish of 11th and after another Sprint Cup title, sits just one championship away from equalling the total of NASCAR legends Richard Petty and Dale Earnhardt. It is a strong possibility that Johnson could overtake Petty and Earnhardt’s record, something that will keep NASCAR fans talking for quite some time…
