Extra Race And Live TV For Formula Renault

1 Mins read

The Protyre Formula Renault Championship will enjoy increased live television coverage this season, with the Snetterton rounds in August to be broadcast as part of one of this year’s Motors TV Live Racedays.

The fourth race meeting of the season in Norfolk, which runs over the weekend of 30/31 August, will also expand from a two to a three race meeting as part of the new arrangement.

The addition of the Motors TV coverage means the Formula Renault series will now feature on live television twice this year, with the season finale at Silverstone once again getting live ITV4 coverage as part of the BTCC package.

“We really are thrilled Protyre Formula Renault will form part of the Motors TV Live Raceday at Snetterton, it’s a fantastic opportunity for our competitors and their sponsors to enjoy the rare treat of live television coverage,” said championship promoter Simon North.

“Everyone associated with the championship always looks forward to the BTCC support race and the accompanying ITV4 coverage each season, but the addition of the Motors TV broadcast really is a great boost. We’re equally delighted to confirm the calendar has increased to 15 rounds with the extra race added to the Snetterton weekend. We’re all set for a great season.”

Revised 2014 Protyre Formula Renault Championship Calendar:

Rounds 1/2/3 – Rockingham ISSC – 5/6 April
Rounds 4/5/6 – Donington Park National – 31 May/1 June
