Swedish Champion Joins Ginetta GT5 Challenge

1 Mins read

The reigning Ginetta GT5 Challenge champion Dennis Standberg is set to move into the UK Ginetta GT5 Challenge for 2014.

Standberg won the Swedish title in only his first year of competitive sportscar racing, the 20 year old claiming six wins and four pole positions on his way to the title.

The Helsingborg-based racer is now hoping for more of the same in the UK series, firmly setting his sights on a top three championship finish with reigning champions Academy Motorsport.

“The attraction of international drivers to the grid is something we are very proud of,” added Ginetta championships manager Ashley Gallagher. “There is no denying that many international racers see the UK as a key area to develop within motorsport, and it is fantastic to be the chosen avenue for Dennis.”
