8. Sean Huyton
In a year where Tom Ingram conquered all before him and made all the headlines en-route to the 2013 Michelin Ginetta GT Supercup title, the achievements of Huyton were largely under-publicised.
In his first foray into the Supercup, the 2012 Ginetta Challenge champion was a truly formidable force in the G50 category. Whilst entry numbers were low, Huyton was still hugely impressive as he took fourteen wins in seventeen races on the way to the class title.
Wrapping it up nice and early meant the 24 year old could go on to make an equally notable late graduation into the main G55 class, taking a podium finish in only his second race, and two further top six finishes in his seven race spell.
With that experience under his belt, Huyton is sure to be one of the leading lights in the championship this year with Academy Motorsport, the team that led him to his Challenge and G50 titles, as he aims to complete his Ginetta Championship hat-trick and pick up the one Ginetta trophy missing from Academy’s collection.
