2. James Kellett
Kellett was the star of the rookie bunch in the 2013 Ginetta Junior Championship, showcasing a stunning raw pace and an impressive racecraft that indicates he’ll be a forced to be reckoned with this year.
The 15 year old was one of only two first year racers to take an overall race victory, a hard-earned success at Rockingham in September that was one of eight podium finishes en-route to sixth overall and the Rookie Cup honours, which he followed up with the Winter Series title after four wins in four races.
Kellett is now aiming to follow in the footsteps of Seb Morris and Harry Woodhead, who both used their Winter Series’ success as a springboard for a dominant main championship win the following year.
Returning with HHC Motorsport, who have won the last four consecutive Ginetta titles on offer, Kellett heads into the new campaign as the pre-season championship favourite, and considering his progression through 2013, it would be no surprise to see him lifting the championship trophy aloft come October.
