Steven Liquorish has become the latest driver to commit to the Porsche Carrera Cup of Great Britain for 2014 and the second driver to enter under the leadership of Stuart Parker and his eponymous Team Parker Racing squad.

Liquorish has prior experience of Porsche racing, he has been a prominent competitor in the manufactures short lived GT3 Cup Challenge (axed prior to 2014) for the past three seasons; now he steps up to the main championship.

This is another big step for me” commented the Aircharge and Connection backed driver, whom is looking forward to the spectacular Le Mans support event which is the main draw for many in Carrera Cup GB 2014. “The chance to race at Le Mans in June is a big tick in the box. I’m also going to be learning about left foot braking”.

Team boss Parker is also looking forward to running Liquorish in the Pro-Am2 class, having last week confirmed the return of Karl Leonard to the team in order to contest the Pro-Am1 category. “It’s a step up for Steven and I think he’ll go really well in Pro- Am2

The Carrera Cup GB gets under way in little over a weeks’ time at the iconic Brands Hatch Indy Circuit. In the little remaining off-season time, we will hopefully have confirmed entries from a wider selection of teams and drivers.
