Block vs Neymar Jr: Castrol Footkhana Film Goes Live

1 Mins read

Two pioneers from the worlds of motorsport and football have come together for Castrol Footkhana, an innovative experiment in the run up to the 2014 FIFA World Cup.

Rally legend Ken Block put his rally machine up against Brazilian football star Neymar Jr, who was joined by world champion freestyler footballers Andrew Henderson, Sean Garnier and Lassi Hurskainen as the five competitors looked to push the boundaries of performance and attempt ground-breaking new skills.

“I’m stoked to partner up with Castrol again this season,” said Block. “I know my fans are going to enjoy this Footkhana film since it’s a spin on my Gymkhana series, integrating some of the best freestyle football players in the world.”

The event was filmed at a specially designed Castrol Footkhana course where the stars outperform each other in a game of one-upmanship, utilising all the skills in their arsenal and show why they’re all at the top of their respective fields.

While Block puts on a show with his perfect car control around the smoke-filled course, Neymar shows off his immense pace, skill and renowned finishing ability. Not to be outdone by the Brazilian sensation, Block responds with supreme precision and control to not only score but to make some unbelievable saves.

“It has been amazing to work with Ken Block and the other freestylers, bringing our skills together in this Castrol experiment,” added Neymar. “I can’t wait for football fans to see our freestyle tricks in action as we go head-to-head against Ken and his car.”
