United Autosports “Feeling Positive” For Donington

1 Mins read

Michelin Ginetta GT4 Supercup front-runners United Autosports are hoping to be challenging for race wins once again during their second outing in the BTCC support series this weekend at Donington Park.

The opening meeting at Brands Hatch two weeks ago proved to be a mixed affair for the team. Carl Breeze secured fourth in the opener before retiring from the other two races, while Luke Davenport ended his maiden Supercup meeting on a high with victory in race three.

Breeze won twice at Donington in the Supercup last season, and is confident of scoring good results this weekend, while a strong testing outing at the track during pre-season means Davenport is hopeful of maintaining his early season momentum at the Leicestershire circuit.

“We are feeling positive,” said Richard Dean, United Autosports’ team owner. “Luke finished the Brands Hatch weekend on the top step of the podium after continuously improving throughout the weekend. We are hoping that this weekend, Carl can also have some good results after having two DNFs at Brands. His stunning fourth in the first race shows he will be able to bring strong results home for the team.”

It’s going to be a busy Easter Weekend for United Autosports, who as well as running their two BTCC racers and two Ginetta G55’s at Donington, will also be in action in the opening rounds of the Avon Tyres British GT Championship at Oulton Park.
