Zele Racing Finish 1-2 in Second Moroccan Session

The two Zele Racing drivers Sergio Campana and Tamas Pal Kiss dominated the second practice session for this weekends opening Auto GP World Series event around the streets of Marrakech in Morocco. Italian Campana and Hungarian Pal Kiss were the only two drivers to post a lap time at under 1:30s, with Campana’s time of 1:29.864 beating his team-mates time by the smallest margin of 0.008s.

Single-seater returnee Markus Pommer ended the session in third place for Super Nova International, pushing practice one pacesetter Kimiya Sato into fourth place in his Euronova Racing entry. Kevin Giovesi in the leading Puma 3 M-Sport by Eurotech machine rounded out the top five, with his team-mate Loris Spinelli down in twelfth.

Ibiza Racing’s Giuseppe Cipriani ended the session in sixth, just ahead of female racer Michela Cerruti in the second Super Nova entry. Eighth went to Michele La Rosa in his self-owned MLR71 car which this year is being run by Euronova Racing. The top ten was rounded out by two of the three Virtuosi UK machines of Andrea Roda and Sam Dejonghe.

The new two-part qualifying session takes place later this afternoon.
