Ocon Continues Pau Domination with Double Pole

Esteban Ocon followed up his pole and win from race one in Pau by taking pole positions for both races two and three. The Prema Powerteam driver set the best time in his section of qualifying that will see him start both races alongside Mücke Motorsport driver Felix Rosenqvist in both races.

Group B were first on track this time around with Ocon setting lap times of 1:10.192 and 1:10.265 to take the pole positions. Max Verstappen was second for Van Amersfoort Racing in the group and will therefore start from third, while Jake Dennis will start both races from fifth for Carlin. Dennis van de Laar will start both races from seventh for Prema Powerteam, with John Bryant-Meisner starting ninth for both for Fortec Motorsport.

Rosenqvist was quickest when Group A followed on track, and will start both races from second on the grid. Jagonya Ayam with Carlin driver Tom Blomqvist was second fastest and will start both races from fourth. Antonio Giovinazzi will start race two from sixth and race three from fifth, while Mitchell Gilbert in the Fortec Motorsport machine will start eighth in race two and sixth in race three. Carlin’s Jordan King will start race two from tenth, while Lucas Auer will start race three from eighth for Mücke Motorsport.
