Thai driver Sandy Stuvik will start this afternoons second race at the Nurburgring on pole position after setting the fastest lap in qualifying. The RP Motorsport driver set a best lap time of 1:51.923s to beat Japanese driver Yu Kanamaru of Emilio de Villota Motorsport by 0.367s. Stuvik and Kanamaru finished second and third in race one yesterday.
British driver Cameron Twynham was third fastest in the leading Team West-Tec F3 entry, ahead of Polish driver Artur Janosz in the second RP Motorsport machine. Nicholas Pohler, who retired early in race one will start fifth for West-Tec, with yesterday’s race winner Alex Palou down in sixth place. The Campos Racing driver will have to fight through if he wants to take both wins this weekend.
Two more West-Tec cars will line-up in seventh and eighth in the form of Tanart Sathienthirakul and Wei Fung Thong, while the Emilio de Villota Motorsport drivers of Che-One Lim and Igor Urien will start ninth and tenth. All 21 drivers competing in Germany set a time, with the race due to set off early afternoon.
