Five Home Stars For Danish SGP

1 Mins read

Five Danish speedway riders will be hoping for home dirt advantage as they prepare for the Danish FIM Speedway Grand Prix at PARKEN.

Following Australian champion Chris Holder‘s withdrawal through injury, Michael Jepsen Jensen has been confirmed as his replacement. ‘MJJ’ had qualified as first reserve for this year’s SGP series.

A strong 2012 season cemented MJJ as one of the sport’s rising stars, winning the Nordic SGP at Vojens as well as helping Denmark to FIM Speedway World Cup gold and winning the Under-21 World Championship.

Jepsen Jensen becomes the fifth Dane on the list to compete in Copenhagen on Saturday, joining triple world champion Nicki Pedersen, Danish champion Niels-Kristian Iversen, Kenneth Bjerre and wildcard Peter Kildemand.
