The North Yorkshire Road Racing Supporters Club are holding a ‘BTCC Chat Show’ night on the eve of the Croft BTCC weekend at the end of June, with guests set to include reigning Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Champion Andrew Jordan.
Alongside Jordan, former Ginetta GT Supercup champions Adam Morgan and Tom Ingram, STP Racing Proton pairing Dan Welch and Ollie Jackson, MG KX Clubcard Fuel Save driver Sam Tordoff and RCIB Insurance Insignia racer Jack Goff are set to feature.
The NYRRSC has been in existence for over 25 years. Having been primarily focused on motorcycle road racing in the past, raising over £100,000 to support local racers, the club sponsored a car racer for the first time last year.
That driver was Ginetta racer Max Coates, who has been part of the team organising the chat show event.
“We’re really pleased with the drivers interested in coming down to the event,” said Coates. “We’re looking forward to the evening, which will be a little bit different to similar events, and we hope to see lots of BTCC fans attending.”
The BTCC event will be held on the evening of Friday 27th June in The Troubadour in Northallerton, around thirteen miles away from the Croft circuit. Admission will cost £5 and is payable on the door.
Former events like these have been attended by riders including Guy Martin, Casey Stoner, James Toseland, Shane Byrne, John McGuiness and Carl Fogarty.
Updates on the event will be posted on Twitter @NYRRSC and Facebook, at https://www.facebook.com/NYRRSC.
