United Autosports Pair Targeting Croft Wins

1 Mins read

Current Michelin Ginetta GT4 Supercup team’s championship leaders United Autosports head to Croft this weekend in confident mood, with its driver pairing Carl Breeze and Luke Davenport targeting race victories.

The team recently tested at the Yorkshire circuit, and a positive outing has put them in buoyant mood as they aim to add to their single race win of the season so far.

That win was taken by series rookie Davenport on the opening weekend at Brands Hatch, one of three podium visits so far for the 21 year old, who’s looking forward to racing at Croft for the first time.

“The Ginetta races will mark my debut at Croft,” said Davenport. “I came away from testing there loving the track. It’s a technical little track, high speed, and requires commitment. My principle aim for the weekend is to be close to Carl and definitely improve my qualifying performance.”

2012 Supercup champion Breeze meanwhile currently sits one place ahead of Davenport in the championship in fifth, and is focusing on continuing a positive recent run that has yielded four second place finishes in the last five races.

“I’m really looking forward to Croft. In testing I was half a second faster than my front row start time from last year which bodes well,” added Breeze.

“We were extremely unlucky not to win last time out at Oulton while my lap record confirmed the race pace. My aim is to repeat that kind of form at Croft especially as I now feel that I have a car beneath me that plays to my strengths.”
